55th ANNUAL SAN DIEGO PARADE OF LIGHTS FRONT ROW ENTERTAINMENT FOR
MARITIME MUSEUM VISITORS DECEMBER 14th AND 21st.
Dinner and the Show: An Out of This World Christmas themed Boat Parade
San Diego, CA – (October 8, 2025) —– Maritime Museum of San Diego, with an international reputation
for excellence in restoring, maintaining, and operating historic vessels including the world’s oldest active
sailing ship, Star of India, invites visitors to enjoy the 55th Annual Parade of Lights Dinner staged aboard
the elegant Victorian-era 1898 steam ferryboat Berkeley Sundays, December 14 and 21, 2025. Parade
judges will be nested at the Maritime Museum as the brightly decorated boats cruise by the Museum fleet
located at Star of India Wharf between Grape and Ash Street.
A delicious holiday dinner buffet and no-host bar will be open on the Victorian-era steam ferryboat Berkeley
at 5:00 p.m. Dinner guest check is at 4:30 p.m. The buffet will be open through 6:30 p.m. Guests will enjoy
a scrumptious and festive catered buffet before relaxing and enjoying the waterfront views as the skies
darken and the holiday boat parade preparations unfold and transition into a delightful holiday waterfront
show.
The procession of boats starts at 5:30 p.m. at Shelter Island and will follow a predetermined parade route.
The parade route organizers project the parade to pass the north embarcadero and Maritime Museum of
San Diego at approximately 6:20 p.m. Dinner guests may make their way to the aft barge to view the
decorated boats or new for 2025, Star of India will be open for Parade of Lights ticket guests 5:00 – 7:00
p.m. A no-host bar will be open on Star. No snacks or food service.
Parade of Lights Dinner tickets are $70.00 for adults, seniors 62+ and military, $35.00 for ages 6-17 and
children 5 and under are free. Maritime Museum of San Diego member tickets are $65.00 for adults, seniors
62+ and military, $30.00 ages 6-17, and 5 and under free. Seating for this year’s Parade of Lights Dinner
and Viewing is first-come, first-served. No reserved seating.
Boat Parade fans wishing to skip dinner aboard the Berkeley and only watch the Parade of Lights from Star
of India may board 5:30 – 7:00 p.m. and can purchase tickets in advance for $15.00 per person. A no host
cash bar will be available. Note: Dinners may not be brought to Star of India from the Berkeley and food
service will not be available aboard Star. No walk-up sales permitted.
Comfortable shoes and warm jackets or sweaters are recommended.
